Dr. Venables' retired in 2023. His research in environmental chemistry, toxicology and bioactive lipids has been supported by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, the National Institutes of Health Center for Complimentary and Alternative Medicine, the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences, the Texas Advanced Research and Technology Programs, the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality as well as other local and trade organization research groups. He received his undergraduate and masters degrees from Baylor University and his PhD from the University of North Texas.
