The institute features a thriving interdisciplinary research team exploring fascinating questions about our environment while developing effective solutions to complex problems confronting public and private organizations. The research team conducts ongoing research in a wide array of areas related to local, regional, national and international environmentally influenced problems.

Dr. Aaron Roberts, Ph.D.

Dr. Roberts, Professor, is an environmental toxicologist with expertise in the fate and effects of chemical contaminants in ecosystems, particularly aquatic systems. He earned his B.S. in Biological Sciences from the University of Missouri, an M.S. and Ph.D. in Zoology from Miami University, and conducted his postdoctoral research at Clemson University. Dr. Roberts has been a faculty member at UNT since 2006 with research supported by federal, state, and private sources.
